He open a health food store, started magazines to advocate nature cure, opened the first naturopathic medical school in the world, and founded the first national professional organization of naturopathic physicians. Nature Doctors – Pioneers in Naturopathic Medicine. His expertise was passed on to many pioneers of naturopathic medicine including Alex LeDoux, MD, Benedict Lust, NMD, and Henry Lindlahr, MD. Before the days of modern medicine, naturopathic doctors viewed all disease as one disease, a product of weakened vitality. The college was not the original idea of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology.
